My group consists of me (Lewis Pickering), James Quinlan and William Davidson our chosen genre is Alternate Rock.

We picked this because Alternate Rock can range in conventions from performance, concept and some narrative. We also think because it is Alternate Rock we could challenge the stereotypical conventions of rock because the genre gives some leeway because its alternate.
